Sophia Day is a graduate of the Master of Fine Arts program at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University. Originally from the Chicagoland area, she received her BA from Vanderbilt University in 2017 and a Post-Baccalaureate certificate in Painting & Drawing from School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2021. Her art practice explores the intersections of religion, feminism, and food with an interest in the inherent absurdities and humor in those categories. Using research as a basis for her work both artistic and academic, she is excited to tackle issues surrounding food systems and access and to implement creative strategies in data dissemination.
